Learn MoreThe PNW Home for Life Foundation is growing. Below is a look at the programs we’re actively working to bring to our community. Have a program idea or want to help make one happen? We’d love to hear from you.
Care Partner Support Groups
Dedicated space for the spouses, adult children, and friends who show up every day for someone they love. Caregiving is exhausting and isolating — this group is a place to breathe, be heard, and find community with others who truly understand.
ALS Support Group
A safe, compassionate gathering for individuals living with ALS and their families. We’ll connect members with local and national resources, peer support, and practical guidance for navigating life with this diagnosis.
Dementia Support Groups
For people in the early stages of dementia and their care partners. These groups focus on connection, education, and practical strategies — helping families feel less alone and more prepared as they navigate the journey ahead.
Rock Steady Boxing
A non-contact boxing fitness program specifically designed for people with Parkinson’s disease. Proven to improve strength, balance, coordination, and confidence — and a whole lot of fun. We’re working to bring an affiliate program to Anacortes.
Pre-Surgery Classes
Preparing your body and home before a planned surgery leads to faster recovery and fewer complications. These classes cover movement, home safety, nutrition, and what to expect — so you walk into surgery ready and walk out stronger.
Care Partner Retreats
A rare opportunity for caregivers to step away, rest, and refill their own cup. These retreats are designed to honor the invisible work of caregiving with rest, connection, and expert-guided sessions on resilience and self-care.
Home Modification Scholarships
Not everyone can afford the grab bars, ramps, and safety modifications that make aging in place possible. This scholarship program will help low-income older adults access the home modifications they need to stay safe and independent at home.
Old Friends Club — Adult Day Center
A warm, welcoming adult day program for older adults who need structured daytime support and meaningful social connection. Designed to give care partners a much-needed break while ensuring their loved ones spend their day engaged, active, and among friends.
