Connie Colleen, OTR/L, ECHM

I was raised here, and this community shaped me. Now I have the privilege of giving back to the very people who poured their time, energy, and care into helping me grow into a functioning adult. Many of the individuals and families I work with today are former teachers, coaches, neighbors, parents of friends—people who quietly built the foundation of this place. Supporting them as they age is deeply personal to me, and it’s work I hold with enormous respect and gratitude.

I’m also a mom to three young children, and I live in a constant (and honest) balancing act between showing up fully for my community as an occupational therapist and being present with my own kids. I want them to love where they live, to be curious, capable, and lifelong learners—and to feel most at home outside. As a family, we strive for 1,000 hours outdoors each year, believing that time in nature strengthens both physical health and overall quality of life.

Staying active is part of who I am. I love moving my body in all kinds of ways—hiking, strength training, CrossFit, running, snowboarding, basketball, volleyball, tennis, golf…the list truly goes on. Movement isn’t just exercise to me; it’s connection, confidence, and joy. That belief carries directly into my work with older adults.

I have a deep respect for the aging population and the wisdom they share—sometimes through stories and words, and sometimes quietly, without saying anything at all. Aging is complex, meaningful, and deserving of care that honors independence and safety. I bring both heart and expertise to this work, shaped by years of experience across a wide range of settings serving older adults.
My professional background includes extensive hands-on work with the aging population, an executive certification in home modifications, and ongoing training as a Certified Geriatric Care Professional. I’m constantly learning, evolving, and refining how I support people in living well in their own homes—doing the things that matter most to them.

At the core of everything I do is this belief: people deserve to keep living full, meaningful lives for as long as possible, surrounded by familiarity, dignity, and purpose. It’s an honor to walk alongside individuals and families during this stage of life, and I don’t take that responsibility lightly.

Juli Doyle, OTL

Juli joined the PNW Home for Life team in September 2025 and brings both deep compassion and practical expertise to her work with older adults. Originally from Tennessee, Juli’s passion for occupational therapy began early in life as she helped care for her grandmother, who lived with right-sided hemiparesis and used a wheelchair for 18 years. Supporting her grandmother’s daily routines planted the seeds for what would become a lifelong calling.

Juli was also raised alongside strong, graceful women, including two great-grandmothers who lived well into their 90s. Those relationships fostered a profound respect for the aging population and a dedication to helping older adults live safely, meaningfully, and with dignity in the homes they love.

After earning her Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy, Juli spent several years as a traveling therapist in California, gaining broad clinical experience and honing her ability to adapt creatively to real-world challenges. She later settled in Washington, where her calm presence, thoughtful problem-solving, and client-centered approach made her a natural fit for PNW Home for Life’s mission. Known for her reliability, warmth, and resourcefulness, Juli is someone families can truly lean on. She is passionate about supporting independence, promoting safety, and helping individuals age well—at home and on their own terms.

Outside of work, Juli loves spending time traveling and getting outside with her husband and son.

Avery Bell, OTR/L

Avery joined the PNW Home For Life team in March 2026. Raised in Colorado, Avery grew up with an appreciation for the outdoors and the resilience it builds. To this day, she enjoys staying active through various activities including running, skiing, and biking. She was shaped by the mountains, but also by a strong community of people who love each other well and commit to showing up.

Among other things, Avery’s path to occupational therapy began as an adaptive ski instructor. There, she witnessed firsthand how the right blend of creativity, specialized equipment, and grit allows individuals of varying abilities to experience adventure, overcome challenges, and foster self-efficacy. She strives to bring those same principles to her occupational therapy practice today.

Avery attended Saint Louis University, where she received her Bachelor of Science and her Master of Occupational Therapy. Thus far, her experience has been primarily in an inpatient rehab facility, preparing individuals to return home after complex neurologic and orthopedic injuries, trauma, and amputations. She continues to have a special interest in neurological conditions and the aging adult population. Being an occupational therapist has challenged her intellect, creativity, empathy, and problem-solving skills; she is passionate about what she does and strives to bring current evidence into her daily practice.

Avery is excited to be a part of the PNW Home for Life team, as the mission mirrors her own: helping people live with dignity, purpose, and a bit of adventure, right where they are.
