Dr. Peter Rabins Is Coming to Anacortes.
We’re bringing one of America’s foremost experts on Alzheimer’s disease and dementia — a Johns Hopkins professor with decades of clinical research and over 300 published works — to our community for a free, intimate evening. This is the kind of access that simply doesn’t happen in small towns. Until now.
One of America’s Most Trusted Voices on Dementia.
Dr. Rabins is an emeritus Professor of Psychiatry and Medicine at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine — a nationally recognized leader who has spent his career at the intersection of brain health, dementia, and the human lives affected by both.
He was the founding director of the Division of Geriatric Psychiatry at Johns Hopkins and the first holder of the Richman Family Chair in Alzheimer Disease and Related Disorders. He has published more than 300 articles and book chapters, and his books have become essential reading for families and clinicians alike:
- The 36-Hour Day — the definitive guide for dementia caregivers
- Is It Alzheimer’s? — clarity when families need it most
- Practical Dementia Care — used by clinicians worldwide
This is not a distant academic flying in to deliver a presentation. Dr. Rabins is known for his warmth, his clarity, and his genuine commitment to making his knowledge accessible and useful to real people. He is coming to Anacortes to listen as much as to speak.
Anacortes Senior Activity Center
A community space
for a community evening.
The Anacortes Senior Activity Center is the heart of this community — the perfect setting for an evening built around the people who live and age here. Accessible, welcoming, and right here in our own backyard.
Shape the Conversation.
Because of Dr. Rabins’ depth of experience in both clinical care and research, we have a rare opportunity to make this evening highly relevant to our community’s specific needs. When you register, share your areas of greatest interest — we’ll use your input to guide the discussion.
👉 When you register, please clearly identify your areas of interest. Your input will directly shape the focus of Dr. Rabins’ presentation — ensuring the content is practical, meaningful, and built around what this community actually needs.
Not a Lecture. A Conversation.
Three hours designed to inform, connect, and energize — not overwhelm. Every part of the evening has a purpose.
45 min — Dr. Rabins Presents
A focused, deeply informed presentation on brain health, dementia, and what the latest research actually means for you and the people you love.
45 min — Open Q&A
Bring your real questions. A rare opportunity to get honest, direct answers from one of the most experienced voices in the field.
Networking & Connection
Time to connect with others navigating similar experiences — and to help shape the full Bulletproof Brain Summit in September.
Brain Health & Dementia Awareness in Our Communities
Attending the Preview is just the beginning. Participants will have the exciting opportunity to continue their learning through the Brain Health and Dementia Awareness in Our Communities (BDAC) initiative — a structured training program designed to go deeper on brain health prevention and dementia co-morbidities.
This is not a passive information session. BDAC is a community-based training that equips participants with practical knowledge and tools they can apply immediately.
Start Here. Go Further.
The Preview is your entry point into a deeper journey of learning and community action around brain health. Register now and you’ll be among the first to hear about BDAC training opportunities in Anacortes.
